About the Blog

“…now am I in Arden, the more fool I! When I was at home I was in a better place, but travellers must be content.” (As You Like It, 2.4.14-16)

The Forest of Arden often seems to be a state of mind rather than a fully defined physical location, so it seemed an auspicious name for a blog in which I… think things about Shakespeare. (The name of this blog gets more self-evident by the moment.) Arden is an open conceptual space, one where point of view is everything (“travellers must be content”), and I hope that I’ll be able to borrow some of that openness to new thoughts and new experiences here.
